Basic Psychopharmacology for the Clinician

This program will focus on basic principals of basic psychopharmacology at the cellular-receptor level and how psychiatric medications interface with these physiologic structures. Included in this course will be guidelines to understanding the properties of various classes of psychiatric medications such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, atypical antipsychotics, anxioletics, mood stabilizers, and stimulants.

Neuro Linguistic Psychotherapy

Neuro Linguistic Programming was initiated by modeling three gifted Master clinicians in the field of psychology. These clinicians were Fritz Perls, Virginia Satir, and Milton Erickson. However, Neuro Linguistic Programming went in a different direction and the insights, strategies, and benefits were left unendorsed by the mental health field. However, more recently, great strides have been made in researching and resurrecting the genius that was uncovered from these practitioners and has been systematized into an effective therapeutic protocol for change.

Hypnosis Essentials for the Clinician

This program offers a concise, focused training for practitioners in the application of hypnotic techniques and strategies. The emphasis will be on skill set acquisition such that the practitioner will be able to immediately be able to utilize hypnosis in their daily practice. Both direct and naturalistic approaches will be presented. Effective use of framing, presuppositional language, induction techniques, and post-hypnotic suggestions will be covered.

Ericksonian Hypnosis and Brief Positive Outcome Focused Therapy

This training will present participants with a strength oriented, brief outcome focused approach to bringing rapid and lasting relief from psychological distress. Both traditional and Ericksonian hypnosis will be covered in this workshop. Understanding into how the human system works on a conscious and unconscious level will be taught. Understanding how clients interact with the world, gaining rapport with clients, and understanding the benefits of a well-formed outcome will be included in this training. This is a multi-level 60-hour training program that has several modules leading to a certificate of completion which will be recognized by the National Board of Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists for completion of their training requirements. Also, the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board as well as the Ohio Psychological Association recognized this training for Continuing Education Credit.

Multimodal Therapy

This program will teach the basic theory and application of Multimodal Therapy. The focus will be on understanding thorough assessment from a Multimodal perspective and then applying the Multimodal approach to the problem areas identified. Emphasis will be on developing strategies that match the problems identified and effective goal attainment.

Neuro Linguistic Programming

This training will be available to both mental health professionals as well as non-mental health professionals. It will focus on developing skills and the utilization of Neuro Linguistic techniques. This will include such techniques as reframing, anchoring, primary and lead system identification, well-formed outcomes, gaining rapport, and many other NLP concepts. This is being offered in Northeast Ohio so that individuals do not have to travel throughout the country to gain this type of training from a Certified Trainer.
