About Dr. Kelley

Dr Gary Kelley is the Director of the Multimodal Therapy Institute. Dr. Kelley has been in full time practice since 1981. Dr. Kelley received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from John Carroll University. In 1976 the doctorate degree was conferred by the University of Akron.

Dr. Kelley has a wide breadth of professional experiences. He has served as an Adjunct Professor and Lecturer at local colleges and universities, been a Staff Psychologist in a psychiatric hospital setting, has provided psychological services in a substance abuse hospital setting, and worked as a school psychologist. He has made numerous presentations to professional groups and has been a guest speaker at many events such as PTA and other community functions.

Dr. Kelley is licensed as a psychologist by the State of Ohio Board of Psychology and has been in full time private practice since 1981 as a Counseling Psychologist. He is on staff at several area hospitals as a Consultant and/or Allied Health Professional. He is a member of various professional organizations. He is trained in traditional forms of psychological treatment and psychiatric medications as well as non-traditional treatment, including Clinical Hypnosis and Energy Psychology. His current interests include psychological treatment of adults, couples, families, and children. He also provides training in psychological treatment to other mental health professionals. He believes in a MULTIMODAL APPROACH that espouses a need to attend to all aspects of the person’s psychological functioning is necessary for therapy to be effective.
